Bridging Lives, Restoring Hope
What we do
Pallam Trust’s work is a testament to the power of compassion and collective action. By addressing the basic needs of those who have been left behind—clothing, food, education, and health—we restore smiles and build hope. Every initiative is a step towards a brighter, more equitable future, where every individual has the chance to thrive.

Bringing Light, Changing Lives
A key challenge we encountered was the absence of electricity in tribal villages, which not only hindered education but also endangered lives. With no light, children struggled to study, and families faced risks such as snake and scorpion bites at night.
To combat this, we initiated solar lighting projects—lighting up homes in villages like Nalambakkam, Pollachi, Thirutheni, Chengalpattu, and Thindivannam. Today, our solar lights brighten the nights for over 4,000 families, making education and daily life safer and more productive.

Equipping Young Minds for a Brighter Future
In many villages, the lack of awareness about education has led to heartbreaking consequences. Young girls have been forced into marriage before they even have a chance to learn, and children, some as young as 12, are denied the opportunity to write their names.
In response, we have opened tuition centers to teach basic literacy and life skills, ensuring that every child can dream of a better future. We also provide school bags and other essential supplies to empower these young minds.

Access to Healthcare for the Vulnerable
Healthcare is a cornerstone of our mission. We provide critical medical help to the handicapped and women, ensuring that those most vulnerable receive the care they deserve.
Our support extends from emergency medical services to ongoing healthcare education, making a lasting impact on community well-being.

Nourishing Lives, One Meal at a Time
During the COVID-19 crisis, Paalam Trust ramped up its efforts to provide essential sustenance by distributing dry rations and nourishing food supplies to families in need.
Our meal initiatives ensured that countless households received critical support during these challenging times, bridging the gap between crisis and care. With every ration delivered, we not only nourished bodies but also restored hope and reinforced the resilience of our communities.

Dignity in Every Stitch
At Pallam Trust, our clothing drives are a powerful expression of our commitment to restoring dignity and warmth to those in need. We actively collect gently used clothes from the community, ensuring each item is thoroughly sanitized and cleaned to meet the highest hygiene standards before redistribution.
In addition to these recycled garments, we also provide new clothes to individuals who need extra support, ensuring everyone has access to proper attire. Through our comprehensive clothing drives, we not only address immediate needs but also reinforce a sense of pride and hope in the communities we serve.
At Pallam Trust, we believe in building bridges—connecting the underprivileged with the opportunities they need to lead dignified, empowered lives. Founded on compassion and a deep commitment to community, our journey began with a simple act: providing old clothes to those who had none. What started as a modest gesture evolved into a movement that now touches hundreds of lives across rural villages and urban streets alike.

All About Our Story
Our founder’s passion was ignited by the heartbreaking sight of tribal people and the homeless struggling every day without basic necessities. Rescued from the streets and villages without proper care. Determined to make a difference, she began by collecting, sanitizing, and distributing used clothes to over 120 villages—offering not just warmth, but dignity. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Paalam Trust stepped in to provide essential groceries and food to families in need, ensuring that no one was left to face hunger alone.
